Sustainability Stolzenhoff Catering
Building and Fleet
The new construction of the company headquarters in Lünen, including production and warehouse, has been carried out according to the latest energy standards. LED lighting is a matter of course. A PV system on the roof generates 80% of the total electricity requirement.
Modern cooling and freezing systems use climate-neutral CO² as a refrigerant to protect the ozone layer. The heat generated from the large refrigeration systems is reused to power hot water production.
The company fleet consists of several e-vehicles and will be further expanded in this respect in the future.
Regional, seasonal catering
All meat and vegetable products are purchased with the shortest transport routes possible. Everything that can be sourced regionally is used. Stolzenhoff Catering relies on long-standing partnerships with regional producers in order to keep the CO² footprint as low as possible here as well.
Only reusable tableware is used at the Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland. If disposable tableware is unavoidable, it is made from renewable raw materials.
Low Waste
Due to the fact that the catering products are all produced in-house, food waste can be kept as low as possible, as every item has a use.
To further minimize food waste, Stolzenhoff Catering offers the possibility of food-saving.
