Web Analytics - Google Analytics

We use "Google Analytics", a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, on our landing page anfrage.mcc-halle-muensterland.de. A transmission of data to the USA and access by US authorities to the data stored by Google cannot be ruled out. The USA is currently considered a third country from a data protection perspective. You do not have the same rights there as within the EU/EEA. You may not be entitled to any legal remedies against access by authorities.

"Google Analytics" uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of our websites. The information collected by means of the cookies about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. With "Google Analytics 4", the anonymization of IP addresses is activated by default. Due to IP anonymization, your IP address will be truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. According to Google, the IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. For more information on the terms of use of Google Analytics and data protection at Google, please visit marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/de/ and policies.google.com.

The legal basis for the use of "Google Analytics" is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DS-GVO and § 25 para. 1 p. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device as defined by the TTDSG. The tool itself is a cookie-less domain and does not collect any personal data. The tool takes care of triggering other tags, which in turn may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager. The legal basis for the use of this organizational tool is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 sentence 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device within the meaning of the TTDSG.

Data protection

As the website operator, we treat all data provided to us as strictly confidential and strive to protect the interests of the user. Personal data is neither sold nor passed on to third parties. We endeavour to protect our databases using all means available to us against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or forgery of said data.

All data that you provide to us via our website are transmitted in encrypted form. The data is encrypted using Security Socket Layer (SSL), a security program supported by most browsers. A small lock symbol, which is visible in your browser's status line, shows that your data is being transmitted securely via SSL. Furthermore, access to pages on which you enter your private data is password protected. Nevertheless and despite our best efforts, security problems can occur when transmitting data over the internet (e.g. sending e-mails) and it is not possible to completely protect data from access by third parties. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you (personally) encrypt important or confidential information when sending it over the internet or when send us information by email.

Use of Friendly Captcha
Our website uses the "Friendly Captcha" service (www.friendlycaptcha.com). This service is provided by Friendly Captcha GmbH, Am Anger 3-5, 82237 Wörthsee, Germany. Friendly Captcha is an innovative, data protection-friendly protection solution to make it more difficult for automated programs and scripts (so-called "bots") to use our website.
For this purpose, we have integrated a program code from Friendly Captcha into our website (e.g. for contact forms) so that the visitor's end device can establish a connection to the Friendly Captcha servers in order to receive a calculation task from Friendly Captcha. The visitor's end device solves the calculation task, which requires certain system resources, and sends the calculation result to our web server. This contacts the Friendly Captcha server via an interface and receives a response as to whether the puzzle has been solved correctly by the end device. Depending on the result, we can assign security rules to requests via our website and, for example, process or reject them.

The data is used exclusively to protect against spam and bots as described above. Friendly Captcha does not set or read any cookies on the visitor's end device. IP addresses are only stored in hashed (one-way encrypted) form and do not allow us or Friendly Captcha to draw any conclusions about an individual person. If personal data is collected, it will be deleted after 30 days at the latest.
The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in protecting our website from abusive access by bots, i.e. spam protection and protection against attacks (e.g. mass requests), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
Further information on data protection when using Friendly Captcha can be found at https://friendlycaptcha.com/legal/privacy-end-users/.

Photo and film shoots at events

When requested and/or necessary, photos and/or video recordings may be made of our events. Photo and video recordings are used for the purpose of event documentation as well as for public relations of the respective responsible company(ies). Individual recordings may therefore be published in online and/or print media (website, newsletter, publications) form as well as on the social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or XING) of the responsible company, provided that no individual objections have been made.

Legal basis for the use photos and videos is the legitimate interest(s) of those responsible for the data and are in keeping with the DS-GVO Article 6 (1) (f) with regards to press and public relations and in the presentation of the activities of the respective responsible person(s). In certain cases, Sections 22, 23 of the KUG may also provide the legal grounds for processing.

Data is deleted when no longer useful or needed or, at the latest, after 2 years have elapsed. Processing or access to any data kept for a longer period of time, for example for historical purposes, will be restricted accordingly.

In addition to employees who work on press and public relations, photographic material may also be passed on to parties involved in the production, publication or distribution of the photographs, e.g. photographers or representatives of the press and/or radio who report on the event and the activities of the organizer(s) for journalistic and editorial purposes. If necessary, the photographs may also be distributed in print and on online media platforms and thus made available to the general public.

We have installed video cameras at several locations on the premises of Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland GmbH. The corresponding locations are marked with signs.

This surveillance is carried out to ensure the safety of event participants, to exercise domestic authority and to collect evidence in the event of vandalism, burglary or other criminal acts. Use and processing of surveillance videos is carried out in accordance with the DS-GVO Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f, and is in keeping with our legitimate interest in the early recognition of dangerous situations at events and for the prevention of theft, damage to property or vandalism.

The storage period of recordings is dependent on the above mentioned purposes and recordings are deleted immediately if they are no longer required for said purposes. Live TV pictures are made available to respective broadcasters and recordings are passed on to the responsible law enforcement authorities for the investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offences if necessary.

In addition to this website, we also use various social media networks to present our products and services to you and to present our company to interested parties. User profiles are regularly created by social media network operators in order to display advertising (within or outside their network) based on your interests.

We use social media platforms to ensure our widest possible presence on the Internet. Legal basis for the use of social media platforms is our legitimate interest to do so and is in accordance with the DS-GVO, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. If you visit one of our social media sites, we are responsible, together with the operator of the social media platform, for the data processing operations triggered by this visit. Please note that despite the joint responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have full influence of the data processing procedures by said operators.
